CERTIFICATION MARK LOGO OPTIONS OFFERED BY MADE IN USA BRAND
In the past, Made in USA Brand has provided the Made in USA Brand Certification Mark logo based on the manufacturer’s self-certification however, Made in USA Brand now offers a verified option and self-certified option of the Certification Mark logo. Made in USA Brand licensees meet accreditation standards through verification or self-certification. Made in USA Brand does not verify members’ self-certified U.S. origin claims.
Made in the USA Brand, LLC teamed with GBQ Partners LLC, an independent CPA firm to formulate the Made in USA Brand Certification Mark logo verification program process. Made in USA Brand executes the verification program.
VERIFIED AND SELF-CERTIFIED PROGRAM DEFINITIONS:
VERIFIED: The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim is verified through our verification program.
SELF-CERTIFIED: The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim is self-certified by the manufacturer through madeintheusabrand.com/form and is accompanied by the disclosure: Self-Certified.
WITHOUT QUALIFIER (unqualified): The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim does not need a qualifying descriptor. For a product to be called Made in USA, or claimed to be of domestic origin without qualifications or limits on the claim, the product must be “all or virtually all” made in the U.S. All significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin.
WITH QUALIFIER (qualified): The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim needs to be accompanied by a qualifying descriptor. A qualified Made in USA claim describes the extent, amount or type of a product’s domestic content or processing; it indicates that the product isn’t entirely of domestic origin.
OPTION A
A.1: VERIFIED (without qualifier)
This mark is our gold standard. The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim will be subjected to the verification procedures applied by Made in USA Brand designed to determine whether “all or virtually all” parts, processing or services are of U.S. origin. The Certification Mark without qualifier will only be provided upon satisfactory verification results. To be eligible for this Certification Mark, manufacturers will need to pay a license fee and a verification fee and pass the verification testing.
Manufacturers should be aware that the California Business and Professions Code 17533.7 has required 100% U.S. content to meet the unqualified standard in California. Please consult the California Business and Professions Code and state regulations for any updates.
A.2: VERIFIED (with qualifier)
This mark is provided with qualifying language such as: “Made in USA of U.S. and imported parts.” The Certification Mark with qualifier will only be provided upon satisfactory verification results. The manufacturer’s Made in USA claim will be subjected to the verification procedures applied by Made in USA Brand designed to determine whether he amount of U.S. content is 50% or greater. To be eligible for this Certification Mark, manufacturers will need to pay a license fee and a verification fee and pass the verification testing.

This mark is provided with a “self-certified” disclosure added to the Certification Mark. Manufacturers will need to pay a license fee, self-certify and represent that they have met the accreditation standards at https://www.madeintheusabrand.com/apply/.
B.2: SELF-CERTIFIED (with qualifier)
This mark is provided with a “self-certified” disclosure and “Made in USA of U.S. and imported parts” qualifier added to the Certification Mark. Manufacturers will need to pay a license fee, self-certify and represent that they have met the accreditation standards at https://www.madeintheusabrand.com/apply/.
