About Joe Denette Motorsports: Fueled by his passion for motorsports, NASCAR enthusiast and Mega Millions Lottery winner, Joe Denette, formed Joe Denette Motorsports (JDM). JDM, a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) team, made its NASCAR debut in the 2011 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway.

In the inaugural season, the rookie team hired driver Jason White to pilot the JDM entry and was sponsored by GunBroker.com. White piloted the No. 23 Gunbroker.com Chevrolet full-time throughout the 2011 season, earning two top-five, five top-10, 12 top-15 and 17 top-20 finishes. White capped off the season 15th in the NCWTS driver point standings and Denette was 17th in the 2011 owner point standings.

JDM also fielded a second entry in select NCWTS events in 2011 at Bristol, Martinsville and Homestead for veteran driver, Elliott Sadler. In three starts, Sadler captured JDM’s first Keystone Light Pole Award at Bristol Motor Speedway (August) and brought home two top-10 finishes.

In 2012, JDM will field two full-time NCWTS entries, the No. 9 of Ron Hornaday, Jr. and the No. 24 of Max Gresham. Hornaday, the all-time NCWTS race winner with 51 victories, will contend for his fifth NCWTS Championship while rookie, Max Gresham, will contend for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors.

Quoting Max Gresham:
“I’ve waited a lifetime for this opportunity. Ever since I started driving racecars, I’ve always dreamed about racing at Daytona. To be down there and racing at Speedweeks in front of everybody is going to be really exciting. Daytona International Speedway is the biggest stage in all of motorsports and to finally be racing there is something I have dreamed about for a long time.”

“I have a history of doing pretty well the first time I go to a racetrack. I’m hoping that will be the case at Daytona. The biggest thing I may have to contend with will be tandem racing. If it’s going to be pack racing, then I think I will have some time to learn and adapt. But if it’s tandem-style racing, I’ll have to adapt right away because if you don’t you crash.”

“I’m going to have two very strong vehicles thanks to Joe Denette Motorsports. They have given me every opportunity to run well at Daytona. As strong as our ARCA car is, I think our Truck will be even better. I’m really looking forward to getting to Daytona and racing the rest of the 2012 season with these guys.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KERNERSVILLE, NC (February 8, 2012) – Since its inception in 2009, the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark has gained widespread acceptance as the number of accredited companies to use the mark to identify their American made products and services has grown to more than 700.

Among those recently certified to use the classic red, white and blue Made In The USA Brand Certification Mark is Joe Denette Motorsports, a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) team located in Kernersville, NC.

“We are honored to be associated with the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark,” said Joe Denette of Joe Denette Motorsports. “Racing was born in the south and NASCAR team members are hardworking American’s. This association goes way beyond the label in a t-shirt. This certification mark supports America, and the American people by supporting American made products and keeping the American people working. I hope the use of this trademark will grow with companies across the United States and help flourish stateside business. It’s a simple action that can make a big difference.”

Joe Denette Motorsports will have one of the more unique ways of showing off the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark this year placing it front and center on the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Max Gresham in the NCWTS.

According to Marcie Gabor, President, Made in USA Brand and Principal at Conrad Phillips Vutech, a branding and marketing firm located in Columbus, Ohio, the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark is a perfect fit for NASCAR and its fans who are among the most loyal and brand conscious consumers.

“American companies now have a distinctive registered certification mark for labeling the United States as country of origin on their products. Conscientious consumers will be able to identify at a glance products that are made in the USA,” said Gabor.

JDM and Gresham will debut the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark in the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 ARCA Racing Series event at Daytona International Speedway (DIS) on Saturday, February 18. He will also pilot the No. 24 Made In USA Brand Chevrolet at Daytona International Speedway in the NCWTS NextEra Energy Resources 250 on Friday, February 24.

The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 ARCA Racing Series event will roll off at 4:30 Eastern Time on Saturday, February 18. The race will be telecast live on SPEEDTV. Meanwhile, SPEED will also telecast the NextEra Energy Resources 250 NCWTS race live on Friday, February 24. That event takes the green flag at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.

“It’s very cool that my race team – Joe Denette Motorsports – has become a Made In USA Brand certified company,” said Gresham. “It’s really important that Americans look to support companies that produce American goods and services. By doing that, you’re helping to stimulate our economy and secure American jobs. JDM and I will be asking fans at Daytona and throughout the rest of the 2012 season to look for and buy products that are American made and have the Made In USA Brand Certification Mark. I’ve pledged to do that and I now check twice before I scan anything at the checkout.”

Snyder To Lead Gresham, JDM NASCAR Truck Series Effort In 2012

KERNERSVILLE, NC (January 25, 2012) Joe Denette Motorsports (JDM) is pleased to announce that Terry “Richie” Snyder has been named crew chief for the No. 24 Made In USA Brand Chevrolet of Max Gresham for the 2012 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season.

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to work with Max this year,” stated Snyder. “He has a lot of talent and enthusiasm. He is in the shop everyday asking questions and learning these trucks. I know with his talent, my experience, and our drive to succeed, we have a combination for success in 2012.”

While Snyder will be making his debut as a crew chief when the NCWTS takes the green flag at Daytona International Speedway in February, the Thomasville, NC native is a veteran racer who knows what it takes to be a champion.

Snyder got his start working on late models and has a background in racing that spans more than 10 years. With extensive experience building suspension, Snyder also served as a fill-in truck chief on Johnny Benson’s 2008 Championship winning team. He was also the truck chief for Timothy Peters during the 2009-2010 NCWTS seasons and for Jason White in 2011.

Over the past seven years, Snyder has contributed to 15 wins, seven pole awards and 65 top-five finishes in the NCWTS.

Max Gresham, who will pilot the No. 24 machine and contend for the 2012 Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors, says Snyder’s experience in the series and his passion for the sport will be the key to success in 2012.

“Richie is a very well-rounded, knowledgeable guy who has a passion to succeed,” said Gresham. “Although he has never called the shots as a crew chief, he has been around this sport and this series for a long time. He has worked with some great drivers and learned a lot through the years. I know his experience will help us succeed on the track.”

Open the current issue of PRINT 31st Regional Design Annual to page 95 and you’ll see our Made in USA Brand Certification Mark honored as one of the best in American design.

Every year since 1981, PRINT has taken a snapshot of American design with the Regional Design Annual. For the 31st edition, PRINT assembled a crack team of judges—Kim Bost, of The New York Times; Brigitta Bungard, of the Museum of Modern Art; Joshua Darden, of the Darden Studio; Michael Freimuth, of Sagmeister Inc.; John Kudos and Kiki Katahira, of Studio Kudos; and Pum and Jake Lefebure, of Design Army—they sorted through 2,536 submissions from every corner of the country. They chose the 421 best pieces and we are honored to be among them.

The Made in USA Brand Certification Mark is the only certification mark registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office for identifying goods either made or grown in the United States.

The Made in USA Brand Certification mark originated from Marcie Gabor, a principal at Conrad Phillips Vutech, a branding and marketing firm located in the heart of the Midwest, in Columbus, Ohio. The certification mark is based on the Federal Trade Commission’s regulations for complying with Made in USA origin claims. It was developed with the assistance of the law firm of Schottenstein Zox & Dunn, Columbus, Ohio.

The thinking behind the Made in USA logo icon design: The Made in USA Brand certification mark icon creates the shape of an outstretched hand, while symbolizing the United States flag. The fingers of the hand appear in red as a tribute to the stripes on the flag. Cradled in a palm of blue, a single white star represents unity. The shape of a hand was chosen to stand for the products that are “made” by the hands of workers at United States companies. The icon appears in the position of a business handshake, which represents the promise of reliability and quality of goods and products made in America.

“The Made in USA Brand Certification mark brings attention to American products. American companies now have a distinctive registered certification mark for labeling the United States as country of origin on their goods.” Gabor said.
